Overview

Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals is designed as a local-first memory tool for bills, subscriptions, trials, warranties, return windows, renewals, and cancel-by dates. This policy covers the current Apple version and Android version 2.0. Platform-specific practices are described below.

Information You Enter

Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals lets you enter item names, item types, optional amounts, due dates, optional cancel-by dates, notes, and reminder settings.

In the current Apple version and Android version 2.0, this information is stored in the app's local storage on your device. The app does not send your saved item content through its public catalog or purchase flows. Platform backup services may copy local app data as described under Data Retention and Deletion.

Search, type filtering, and reminder preset suggestions run locally on your device.

Accounts

Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals does not require an account, sign-in, or registration.

Bank Connections

Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals does not connect to banks, credit cards, payment accounts, or financial institutions.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals does not include app-integrated third-party analytics, advertising, cross-app tracking, diagnostics, or crash reporting.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals uses local notifications on your device. Smart reminder presets suggest default timing by item type, and you can adjust reminder settings manually. Notification permission can be managed in your device settings.

Purchases

On Apple platforms, optional Forgetproof Plus purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. On Android, they are handled through Google Play Billing. The applicable store may process purchase-related information under its policies. Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals receives product and current purchase state needed to manage Plus access and may acknowledge an active Google Play purchase, but it does not receive your full payment card details.

Android 2.0 Data Safety Summary

For Android version 2.0, the data categories collected and shared are exactly Approximate location, Purchase history, and App interactions. Each category is optional because it arises only when you use the corresponding More or Plus purchase functionality. Each is disclosed as non-ephemeral and is collected and shared for App functionality.

Network data transmitted by the app is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. These practices do not include precise location, personal information, user payment information (including payment card information), other financial information, files or documents, web browsing or search history, diagnostics or crash data, or your locally saved item content.

The Android 2.0 declaration does not include Device or other IDs. In the observed catalog flow, the CDN's __cf_bm cookie appeared only in the response; no persistence, replay, or outbound return by the app was proven. This declaration will be reevaluated if later runtime evidence proves an outbound cookie or another device or app identifier. Provider cookie and device-identifier handling beyond the observed flow remains unverified.

Public App Catalog and Network Data

When you open, restore, or retry More, Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals makes a bounded HTTPS request for SHG's public app catalog. The request sends an app-and-platform user agent but does not include your saved item names, amounts, dates, notes, reminder settings, purchase state, support content, account information, or other app content.

The catalog is hosted on DigitalOcean App Platform and delivered through DigitalOcean's built-in Cloudflare-powered edge CDN. The hosting path processes the request and client IP address at ingress; an IP address may imply approximate location. No external log forwarding is enabled for this Website application. Exact request, access, CDN, and runtime-log retention, origin logging, deletion controls, cookie or device-identifier handling, and provider roles have not been verified. This does not represent a separately configured SHG Cloudflare service.

Data Retention and Deletion

Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals stores the items you enter in the app's local storage. You can edit or delete individual items in the app. You can also reset relevant app content or delete the app from your device. These local controls are distinct from a developer- operated deletion-request mechanism: the app has no accounts, and Sykes Holding Group does not provide an account-data deletion-request mechanism for Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals. There is also no developer-operated request mechanism through Forgetproof for catalog/CDN request data or Google Play purchase-history records.

On Apple devices, depending on your iOS and iCloud settings, device-local app data may be included in Apple-managed backups. The Android version also permits Android Auto Backup and platform device- transfer features. Depending on your device, account, and platform settings, those services may copy local app data. A platform-managed backup is not Sykes Holding Group-controlled cloud storage. Sykes Holding Group does not control those backups, and exact platform retention and deletion behavior has not been verified.

Support email is handled outside the app. Its retention and deletion are not controlled by Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals; contact us with any support-email privacy question.

Children's Privacy

Forgetproof: Bills & Renewals is intended for people age 18 and older. It is not designed for or directed to children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
