Decision Journal: Logbook
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 29, 2026
Overview
Decision Journal: Logbook is designed to help you record choices, reasons, confidence, review dates, and later reflections. The current MVP is local-first and does not require an account.
Information You Enter
Decision Journal: Logbook lets you enter decision titles, categories, what you chose, why you chose it, confidence levels, review dates, optional outcomes, reflections, and optional tags for premium users.
In the current MVP, this information is stored locally on your device.
Accounts and Sync
Decision Journal: Logbook does not require an account, sign-in, cloud sync, or registration in the MVP.
Export
If you use export features, you choose where to save or share the exported file. Take care when sharing exported decision history.
Support Email
If you email Sykes Holding Group for support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device details, app version, and description of your request. Do not send sensitive journal entries unless support specifically asks for a redacted example.
Retention and Deletion
Decision entries remain on your device until you edit, delete, export, share, or remove them through app or device actions. Sykes Holding Group does not operate a server for storing Decision Journal: Logbook entries in the MVP, so there is no server-side journal account to delete.
Purchases
Premium purchases are processed by the app store where you downloaded Decision Journal: Logbook, such as Apple through StoreKit or Google Play through Google Play Billing. The app may receive purchase status information needed to unlock paid features. Decision Journal entries are not sent to a purchase service.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The current MVP does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
Future Features
Private AI summaries, accounts, sync, or cloud features should only be added with clear consent, disclosure, and updated privacy terms.
Data Retention and Deletion
Decision Journal: Logbook stores app data locally on your device in the current version. Local app data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, reset the relevant app content, or delete the app from your device.
Depending on your device backup settings, device-local app data may be included in Apple- or Google-managed device backups. Sykes Holding Group does not control platform-managed backups. You can manage device backups through your device settings.
Support emails are retained as needed to respond to your request, maintain support records, and meet applicable legal or business requirements.
Children's Privacy
Decision Journal: Logbook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
